Rising to the challenge of the new decade is going to need everything the finance leader can bring to the table. The 2020s are bringing an unprecedented rate of change, and you are right in the middle of it. It’s going to require every business skill you’ve learned and quite a few new ones too. This interactive one-day programme takes the lid off the skills you will need.

On top of this change, the Covid-19 pandemic has brought a whole extra set of challenges. What will this mean to you and your business going forward?

The course provides a broad overview of skills you need to lead your business team through a range of challenges the business faces in the 2020s. We look at why financial statements and the underlying accounting systems don’t provide the most useful information for decision making and consider what you need in addition. We consider why an economic rather than an accounting model of the business can provide the financial information the management team really needs. We look at the role of the finance professional in setting strategy and business plans and consider why a clear strategy and business plan is vital to just about everything you do.
