In November the luxury surroundings of Dubai will be the setting for two flagship courses that provide the most comprehensive training available on IFRS and IPSAS .
IFRS Immersion Workshop
Starting on 15 November and held over eight days, the IFRS Immersion Workshop will review in detail all significant technical requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for private sector entities.
It includes presentations by expert instructors, hands-on case studies, real-world examples, exercises, and benefits from interaction with other participants.
This course is ideal for individuals at all levels within an organisation who need to acquire and validate detailed knowledge of IFRS. In essence, it is an opportunity to transfer a crucial new skill set to those responsible for making accounting decisions and preparing, reviewing or approving IFRS financial statements. The program is relevant to a broad range of sectors and does not focus on any single industry.
IPSAS (Accruals Basis) Immersion Workshop
The eight day IPSAS (Accruals Basis) Immersion Workshop also begins on 15 November. It reviews and explains in detail all the requirements of accruals basis IPSAS for public sector and not for profit entities. The program has been fully updated to reflect the six new Standards published in 2015 and applicable from 2017.
IPSAS accounting and disclosure requirements are explained in clear, simple language and illustrated with model financial statements and real-world examples. Application of the various standards is illustrated through the use of short case studies. Course delegates also receive an overview of the status of IPSASB's current exposure drafts.
Both courses also include:
- An iPad Mini which you can use for research during and after the course.
- A local sightseeing tour, arranged and paid for by IASeminars.
- Lunch and refreshments on every teaching day.
- Farewell dinner with graduation photographs.
