ICAEW, a world leader in the accountancy and finance profession, and global training provider IASeminars are collaborating to offer across Latin America. This is the first time ICAEW's highly regarded IFRSs learning and assessment programme will be available in Spanish.
The transition around the world to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is one of the most important developments ever seen in the world of accounting. More than 120 countries globally, including several Latin American countries, now report under IFRS or are completing their transition to IFRS reporting.
ICAEW's IFRSs learning and assessment programme, which aims to provide finance professionals with demonstrable international financial reporting knowledge, has been available in English for several years. It has become an increasingly desirable international credential as the number of countries going through the IFRS transition process grows.
Starting by the end of 2011, candidates for the ICAEW Spanish-language IFRSs learning and assessment programme will be able to take a paper-based 2-hour multiple choice exam in Spanish in various locations across North and South America. IASeminars will be one of several organisations offering classroom or online Spanish-language IFRS tuition to help prepare for that assessment. Successful candidates will receive an official ICAEW certificate attesting in Spanish that they have achieved the required minimum level of IFRSs knowledge and understanding.
"As a major global professional membership organisation with a prestigious history and over 136,000 members around the world, we are delighted to offer our IFRSs learning and assessment programme in Spanish to help finance professionals in Latin America increase their IFRS skills and obtain independent verification and attestation of their knowledge," said Gavin Aspden FCA, Director of Qualifications at ICAEW.
"It is an honour for IASeminars to assist ICAEW in this important initiative," said Marc Gardiner, Managing Director of IASeminars. "Our experience gained over the last 10 years in training some 12,000 people from 130 different countries in the technical requirements of IFRSs will be invaluable to our future clients in Latin America."
Further information about IFRS tuition options and assessment dates and locations for the ICAEW Spanish-language IFRSs learning and assessment programme can be obtained from IASeminars.
