  • Sunil Kumar Kansal
    Sunil Kumar Kansal is a specialist in accounting for financial instruments, derivatives and hedging under both IFRS and US GAAP, and is currently associated with one of the Big Four firms based in Europe. He has in-depth experience in the implementation of IAS 32, IAS 39, IFRS 4, FAS 133, FAS 157, IFRS 7, IAS 27 and SIC-12/FIN 46R. Whilst working for several of the world's largest accounting firms in different regions around the world, Sunil has assisted many large financial institutions & insurance companies with technical accounting issues pertaining to complex instruments, including those relating to hedge accounting. He is also extensively involved in the discussion process with European banking and insurance industry forums on accounting issues involving new exposure drafts issued by the IASB and FASB on Derecognition, Consolidation, and Fair Value Measurement, Impairment, Hedge Accounting and Insurance. Sunil was formerly a Director in the Global Financial Services Industry Group of Deloitte in the Asia Pacific region, working in the banking and financial services sector. He was also previously part of the Derivative Specialists Group at the PwC Global Capital Markets Group in London, and also of the KPMG banking, finance and insurance practice in several other countries. As well as being a subject-matter expert, Sunil is an experienced seminar instructor.
     
  • Will Neeriemer (DHG)
    Will Neeriemer is a partner in the Charlotte region of Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, the largest accounting and advisory firm headquartered in the Southern U.S. and the 13th largest firm in the country with over 1,700 people in 11 states and the District of Columbia. Will began his career with Dixon Hughes Goodman in June of 2000 in the firm’s financial institutions practice where he gained significant experience in performing external audit engagements, including audits of internal controls over financial reporting. During his tenure he has also been involved in numerous financial institution audit and consulting engagements, including both private and public companies, and presented firm-wide training sessions on emerging accounting and auditing issues. Will has served as a presenter at state banking association meetings and CPA association meetings on accounting and auditing topics.
