    Chris Boland (CPA, CA, CMA) is a professional IFRS consultant specializing in assisting clients with their transition from Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the application of new IFRS Standards. Chris has assisted over 45 clients in IFRS implementations and in most industries and sectors. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Canadian Chartered Accountant, and also holds the Certified Management Accountant designation. Chris has extensive experience with matters such as IFRS, SOX, anti-fraud measures and corporate governance. Prior to establishing his public practice and teaching career, Chris was General Manager (Accounting, IFRS, Internal Controls and Tax) at Canada Post Corporation. His earlier positions at other organizations included being CFO and VP Finance; Director of Tax and Treasury, Controller; Manager of Financial Reporting and Controller (Overseas Operations); Manager of Financial Reporting; and Budget Analyst. He was also an Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General. Chris’ 23 years of experience included 12 years in the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Silicon Valley North Telecommunication hardware and software industry (semiconductor industry, Mitel Corporation, OSS software, Eftia OSS, photonic design and software, Optiwave).
