• Vitaliy Babiy
  Vitaliy Babiy, CA, CPA is an IFRS consultant with McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham LLP concentrating on IFRS conversion, technical accounting and assurance work. He has knowledge of US and Canadian GAAP as well as IFRS, having completed both the US Certified Public Accountant Exam and the Canadian Chartered Accountant Exam. Prior to joining McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham LLP, Vitaliy was the founder of IFRSGlobal.ca, a North American IFRS advisory firm where he conducted multiple IFRS conversions for Canadian global organizations including supervising the IFRS conversion by cross-functional departments such as operations, IT and finance, as well as by overseas subsidiaries of global organizations. Vitaliy’s IFRS experience comes from being a manager with several of the largest accounting firms in the USA, Canada and Europe. He is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
   
• Bruce Byford (Grant Thornton)
  Bruce is a partner at Grant Thornton LLP in Canada, and he has significant IFRS experience. He is the IFRS practice leader for Grant Thornton in Alberta and is also responsible for Grant Thornton’s transition to IFRS nationally, including planning and managing the implementation from a competency development perspective. Bruce is currently the partner responsible for many of Grant Thornton LLP’s IFRS client engagements in Alberta, and he leads four IFRS industry peer groups. In addition, Bruce is an experienced trainer and public speaker.
