  Bob Hawken is an international instructor and consultant specialising in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US / UK / Canadian GAAP. A training professional with considerable experience of presenting in the continuing professional education market, Bob also worked for many years preparing candidates for professional qualifications - including those offered by professional bodies such as the ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA and AAT. Bob originally qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant in the audit division of Arthur Andersen, where he worked on clients in many different industries including services, manufacturing, distribution and publishing. He then moved into the financial training sector, working for a total of some 12 years for one of the major UK accountancy training organisations, where he was ultimately promoted to Managing Director. While retaining these management responsibilities, Bob continued to develop and deliver training to many clients. He later chose to pursue his career as an independent consultant in this area.
