Marc Gardiner BSc (Econ), CPA is Chief Executive Officer of IASeminars worldwide. A former university lecturer in Accounting & Finance, he has been producing seminars and conferences around the world since 1991. Marc specialises in all events dealing with International Accounting (IFRS and US GAAP), and also Reporting to the International Capital Markets (particularly SEC Reporting). After graduating from the London School of Economics, Marc worked for a total of twelve years in public accounting, including four years with KPMG and two years as a partner in his own firm. He is qualified in the USA as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and has worked in the UK, France, the USA and Switzerland.
Jon Earnshaw is IASeminars Director of Operations, with Board level responsibility for the daily running of the business in addition to certain strategic projects. With 15 years of business and senior management experience, Jon oversees all operational aspects of IASeminars, including human resources and our internal and external information technology systems.
Laurence Young BSc (Hon), FHCIMA, FBAHA is IASeminars Director of Finance. He joined our fast growing team in 2008, and now supports colleagues and customers in this results-focused business. A qualified management accountant (CIMA), Laurence has broad management experience including running a Tertiary Education College in the UK, owning a Scottish hotel chain and being part of the management team within an international tourism consultancy.
Susan Thetford is Technical Director of IASeminars, and an international instructor and consultant specialising in the implementation and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). As well as teaching for IASeminars and others, Susan has written IFRS technical material for a major US publisher. She is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and was the Regional Accountant for a Federal banking regulator in the USA for ten years. Prior to that she was a Senior Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche, working with clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, financial institutions, manufacturing, hospitality, broker/dealers, and oil and gas exploration and development. Susan is a former Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs.
Deborah Fyfe is our Customer Services Manager. Deborah is responsible for coordinating all Customer Service functions relating to serving an IASeminars client base which spans over 100 countries and 24 time zones. Deborah's primary role is ensuring that we continue to meet (and exceed) our customers’ expectations in handling queries regarding course content and selection, venue and instructor information, as well as payment handling, visa requirements, CPE credits, and much more. She oversees a range of Customer Service processes from before to during and after their attendance at our events.
Barbara Gross is our Events Manager. Barbara organizes all public training course logistics across more than 30 major cities on 6 continents. She is responsible for venue and accommodation selection and arranges for courses to be held at 4-Star venues with an eye to keeping delegate costs down. Barbara coordinates instructor assignments, course material distribution, venue booking, and all tasks associated in providing over 150 public courses around the world while ensuring our events are delivered to the highest standard.
Susanne Jackson is our Director of In-Company Training. Susanne serves as the point of contact for all our In-Company training programmes which deliver nearly 100 courses at client specified locales to some of the top international corporations in the world. She works closely with them from start to finish to create a personalised training experience, catering to their specific needs, taught by industry experts at a date and time of their choosing.
