7-10 February 2010, Doha

  • Excellent instructor, very helpful course materials that will also be a good resource once I’m back at work, friendly staff at IASeminars.
  • I was very satisfied with the course and especially with the instructor. She managed to cover and explain essentially all IAS and IFRS standards in four days in a very clear and understandable way.
  • Also, she made accounting more interesting and engaging than I had found it to be so far. Through her method of explaining, extensive use of flip-over sheets with easy to copy notes and the use of very simple examples to explain difficult and dense material, she made things easy to understand.
  • I will keep IASeminars in mind for future courses and have recommended your institute to my colleagues.
  • I would like to thank you for your prompt responses, professionalism and support. The course was gainful and added value to my knowledge and skills. Moreover, the instructor is the one who gave the course its flavour she is a professional instructor and gives the true image of IASeminars and one of the best instructors I have ever met.Thank you again and hope to keep in touch with professional people of IASeminars.

  • Very knowledgeable instructor, great facility, the small class size allowed great interaction and discussion of specific issues, I felt we really got the bang for our buck.
  • I could not be more pleased with my experience with IASeminars. From the excellent service and quick replies from customer services to the training itself and out facilitator, this was exactly what I look for in a training. The course itself and the facilitator was phenomenal. The small size allowed us to spend time on what we were most interested and his depth of knowledge and willingness to answer very specific questions; this was worth every penny, and then some.
  • We are a sub of a European company which converted to IFRS at the beginning of 2008 and I am responsible for our reporting and compliance with IFRS, as well as specific technical accounting applications, i.e. impairment testing. I had found it difficult to locate courses that focused on questions and issues after implementation, your company has filled that niche quite nicely. Most other US courses are focusing on the differences between IFRS and GAAP or implementation issues. Our Controller, who also attended found the experience also very positive and has suggested I look for additional courses to attend.

  • I have to compliment you on this programme. The seminars are far better than I could possibly have hoped and the extra consideration they have offered concerning my dietary requirement have been just fantastic! Thanks again. Your programme is indeed excellent!!! Do keep up the good work. I have to say that I was very surprised and pleased with the effort you people made to address my rather onerous dietary issues. The food was excellent, tasty, and met my dietary issues. I was not expecting that, and so was most appreciative. As you may be aware, travelling away from "home base" is quite a challenge and to attempt a prof dev course on top of that just adds to it. With the care and attention you showed, it enhanced to learning experience immeasurably. Speaking of which, both of the courses you offered were first rate, in content, instructor, and facilities.

Also very good at using basic real life examples which really helped in putting things in perspective, a very good learning tool. Self-Study for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) IFRS Certificate:

  • I have been really happy with the materials and thought that the exam was thorough. I like the flexibility of self study and the on-line exam format. The overall study materials were great - they covered the standards well and prepared you to pass the exam. One concern I had when I purchased the program was that it perhaps was written in a way that was hard to understand coming from a US perspective – I was uncertain if there would be slightly different terminology and perhaps comparisons to British GAAP – this concern turned out to be unfounded. The materials are not comparative to any other standards, the focus is on IFRS and the terminology is not a problem.

17 August 2009, Edmonton

  • Accurate and to the point.
  • The instructor was excellent in his delivery of the course material. He was great at keeping his audience interested in the course.
  • The seminar was great. Our instructor was an excellent presenter, he was personable and funny and kept the course flowing well. He didn't just stand up there and go over slides. On one section he had us go through a note and find the disclosure and on another he had us look for specific information in the disclosure of four different companies to compare the information. The different approaches kept things interesting and hands on which I think was important for a course that could have potentially been quite dry given the topic. Part of the reason I took this course from IASeminars was because I heard that your courses and presenters were better than others for IFRS courses. I think this is likely due to the practical experience with IFRS that your presenters have. After taking this course I would definitely agree with this and will be taking any other IFRS courses through IASeminars instead of other providers.
