1. Who are the instructors?

Our e-Learning courses are taught by the same highly-qualified professionals from our faculty who teach our Public and In-House Training Courses - the same specialist instruction, but designed to fit around your busy life.

2. Who can I contact?

For more information, payment questions or to sign up for your own e-Learning course today, please contact our team of dedicated training consultants.

For technical help during set-up and throughout your course, please contact our support team.

3. What are the system requirements to access the course?

You may access your course either by logging into the e-Learning site or by downloading a pc-based e-Learning Windows application. All you need to access the e-Learning site is an Internet connection and a web browser (see technical requirements below). If you choose to use the downloadable pc-based client, the initial course download is quite large, including a Microsoft .NET update, so broadband Internet during first setup is required. Subsequent downloads aren't as strenuous.

Minimum Internet speed: 1MB, recommend 3+MB

Supported Web browsers for Web-based client:
  • Internet Explorer 7 and 8 for Windows
  • Firefox 2 and 3 for Windows, Mac and Linux -Google Chrome 6 and 7 for Windows and Mac -Safari 2 and 3 for Macs (and Windows)
Supported OS for downloaded PC-based client:
  • Windows XP Pro (SP3)
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
  • Mac is not supported for this client
Software versions required (assistance provided during Joining process):
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
  • Adobe Flash 10.0
  • Adobe Reader 9.0

4. Where are the classes actually held and how is training delivered?

Our e-Learning courses are fully online, so you choose where to study, any time, any place, whether at work, home or whilst traveling at the airport or on the plane. E-Learning courses can be accessed via a PC either using the downloadable client software or via a web-based client portal for on or off-line access anytime and anywhere.

5. Do I need to be online at the same time as my co-learners and instructor?

No, our courses do not require you to be online at the same times as other learners or your instructor. You simply work through the course activities and your instructor will see your completed work next times she/he logs into the course. If you are using the downloaded pc-based client, your work will all be synchronized with the course server when you next connect to the Internet.

6. Can I use my IFRS Learning Passport for an e-Learning course?

Yes, e-Learning courses may be taken on your passport, (max 1 concurrent course at any given time), and multiple e-Learning courses may be taken consecutively with the IFRS Learning Passport.

7. Why are the start date and duration fixed?

Fixed start date and duration allows IASeminars to monitor delegate study time, which is required to gain appropriate CPE credits. Where and when you study is up to you but throughout the course you are required to meet targets, successfully complete quizzes and participate in discussion threads. Goals and timescales are provide by your IASeminars specialist instructor upon course commencement.
